Laser diode protection

Below you can watch a live video (shot with an iPhone, and not fancy editing) that shows LASORB in action, protecting the popular 520nm GREEN laser diodes, so commonly used across the laser show industry.

The 2-minute video below shows a medium-power red laser diode being damaged and subsequently destroyed by just a few 15kV ESD events. Then, the same type of laser diode is shown being protected by LASORB. This allows the diode to survive multiple 15kV ESD events.

Blu-ray protection

This 7-minute video shows LASORB’s ability to protect a Blu-ray laser diode from numerous positive and negative ESD events — including 20 shots per second of 16kV directly across the Blu-ray diode. It then shows what happens to the Blu-ray laser diode if it is not protected by LASORB.
