Laser diode protection

The 2-minute video below shows a medium-power red laser diode being damaged and subsequently destroyed by just a few 15kV ESD events. Then, the same type of laser diode is shown being protected by LASORB. This allows the diode to survive multiple 15kV ESD events.

Blu-ray protection

This 7-minute video shows LASORB's ability to protect a Blu-ray laser diode from numerous positive and negative ESD events -- including 20 shots per second of 16kV directly across the Blu-ray diode. It then shows what happens to the Blu-ray laser diode if it is not protected by LASORB.
